About This Blog

I’m passionate about tilapia in general because I know how healthy it is for you: high in protein, low in fat and full of Omega 3 fatty acids. Plus, I know that not all fish are grown in top quality conditions, which means some farmers are cutting corners and selling fish that could harm you. It’s important that the fish I eat comes from fresh-water flowing lakes, not shallow, murky ponds. I want to feed my family only the best, safest and most affordable fish I can, free of preservatives, growth hormones and antibiotics.

Like so many parents today, I’m trying to teach my children about recycling and saving our planet. Regal Springs Tilapia does a terrific job with both. The company recycles fish byproduct and turns it into biodiesel fuel for its machines and trucks. Another thing I like is that Regal Springs gives back to the communities where its fish is grown. Every year, the company returns a healthy portion of its profits to the villagers for schools, hospitals, tree saplings and more fish farms.

All in all, I know I’m supporting a company that is helping to sustain the Earth for my children.
